I love Country music singer Reba McEntire. Not so much the music sorry Reba, but I used to watch her show
“Reba” and it wasn’t bad. Reba recently hosted the ACM Awards and she looked thinspo for her age group so
I totally had to give her props... The 55-year-old married mom follows a healthy eating plan and exercise
regime to keep herself in tip-top shape she tells us.Her exercise routine consists of 30 to 60 minutes of
pilates and walking every single day. When she’s at home in Nashville she’ll use her home gym and walk and
lift weights. Here’s what she said about her eating habits,“I have to watch what I eat. I splurge every once in
awhile, but I do try to watch what I eat, stay away from complex carbs, and eat as much protein and vegetables
as possible. Drink lots of water, of course I love my iced tea. I try hard. I fall off the wagon quite a bit, but I try.”
She said that she stays away from white foods such as sugar, flour, pasta and rice and she is sure to eat
plenty of veggies, fish and chicken. She goes on to explain that she doesn’t do fad diets, cleanses nor weight
loss programs because she wants to be healthy. She explained her diet mantra,“I read somewhere ‘if you eat
like a king in the morning, and a princess at lunch, and a pauper at dinner, you’ll do very well.’”When she is
wanting a snack and a bit of indulgence she likes to munch on almonds and if she’s really feeling naughty she’
ll splurge on Mexican food. All in all Reba is happy with her body and she wants to take care of herself. As she
reaches her later years she wants to be thin in order to protect her joints, feet and ankles and to be balanced.
