The definition of Anorexia nervosa is a psychiatric diagnosis
that describes an eating disorder characterized by low body
weight and body image distortion. Individuals with anorexia
often control body weight by voluntary starvation, purging,
vomiting, excessive exercise, or other weight control
measures, such as diet pills or diuretic drugs. It primarily
affects young adolescent girls in the Western world and has
one of the highest mortality rates of any psychiatric condition,
with approximately 10% of people diagnosed with the
condition eventually dying due to related factors according to
some studies. Anorexia nervosa is thought to be a complex
condition

It seems today that the so called “anorexics” don’t have a
body image distortion problem at all… as a matter of fact they
seem to love their skin and bone look. Actually photographing
themselves in the mirror to see how thin they are and to put it
on the internet… this is not a body image problem.
As a matter of fact it seems like todays “Ana’s” are loving
themselves… exercising daily, fasting every so often ( which is
actually very good for you), calorie restricting , and taking
vitamins… not to mention sleeping 6 hours a day  and water
drinking!
I found it interesting that so many people are key wording
“Real girl Thinspo”… we seem to think that if they can do it ….
So can the rest of the world. Which brings me to the topic of
other Pro ana websites…
Skiny reality is a xanga blog that is part of the new reality
thinspo trend in  pro-ana communities. You need to sign into
this site with a user ID so that they can track who is using the
site. Which I don’t like… Anyway…. Its owned by an 80 year
old Chinese man in panties who calls herself Storm.
Its a site composed of pictures of 'real' girls, that have been
'really' stolen from myspace, livejournal, and other places
where 16 year old girls can whore themselves off on the
internet.

From storms page:
"This website is totally 100% dedicated to bringing you
photos of "real girls". Not actresses or models, not airbrushed
or stretched out."


Skinny reality has caused non stop drama all over the
internets. Lawsuits and other types of Legal threats have
come to the attention of the media.
Members of pro ana communities are finding their own
pictures on the website without permission is the most
common source of drama, although trying to get their pictures
removed.  This is why the disclaimers are now appearing on
all the sites.
Andikins is featured nearly every post, and posted pictures of
herself with a feeding tube in her nose to the guestbook for
some reason. Storm obviously doesnt give a shit about skinny
reality anymore, she has been critisized for posting fatties
lately.

I thought Anorexics had a body image problem???
