The March 2008 issue of iD magazine features a winking
Raquel Zimmermann on the cover photographed by
Emma Summerton. With Bridget Bardot style make up,
Raquel’s curl locks were held back by a cute black bow.
But that wasn't why I was intrigued. After seeing
numerous covers featuring models in a mid-wink snap, I
started to wonder why that was! After all a wink frozen in
time can look strange (think Gemma Ward on the
September 2007 cover). No one I asked seemed to know
the question as to why that was, but it turns out the
answer was on Wikipedia, apparently the when you tip
the "i-D typographic logo" on it’s side, it reveals a
winking smiley.

On my second day in Hong Kong, while taking the bus to Wanchai I’ve
came across a huge billboard featuring Raquel Zimmerman as the new
face of H&M. There’s no sign of Raquel at the Langham Place store
yet, but this billboard has definitely caught everyone’s attention, it is
huge. It’s great seeing Raquel back as the face as H&M, it is not her
first time, she first posed for the Viktor & Rolf for H&M limited edition
