questions on the site and give it a page. Lets talk a little bit more about food cravings, junk food cravings and of course just cravings
in general. I have put together tons of tips that are simple and easy to incorporate into your daily lives to help you control those

ways of controlling cravings everyday. People on diets need to have an arsenal of tools to help them kill the dreaded craving times.
So when is your worst craving time? Before meals, between meals, after meals, all the time? I have some tips for you.

Recently I had nothing to eat in my apartment except a small jar of pine nuts. Seriously I try to keep nothing in my house at all, I open
cabinets and there is nothing in them and at night it works for me. But I was really hungry so I started to eat some of these pine nuts
and felt full... It was truly a weird thing because I was really hungry and didn't think a couple of these tiny nuts could make me feel
full. So I went to the Internet to find out why pine nuts make you feel full and kill food cravings. Its key benefit is that it suppresses
hunger and tells your brain "Thanks, but I am already full." Additionally, it slows the emptying of your stomach, again helping you feel
full. These benefits are due to a powerful hormone called cholecystokinin (or CCK.)
Siberians used a handful of nuts to sustain them on long hunting trips and as a way to maintain their energy. Portable, tasty and
offering a long-lasting fill, they were the perfect trail mix. Still today, in Siberia, a handful of pine nuts precede a meal, setting the
stage for a moderate meal.
Pine nuts are delicious with a mild, nutty flavor and contain certain fatty acids that can help suppress hunger. One ounce of pine nuts
(approximately ¼ cup) has 190 calories, 19 g of fat and only 4 g of carbohydrates. They contain more protein that any other nut or
seed as well as a variety of vitamins and nutrients such as: vitamins E, B1, B2, and B3, beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A) as well as
essential amino acids, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium and zinc.
Pinolenic acid is a polyunsaturated fat that encourages two hormones (including CCK) that suppress hunger. It has been studied
extensively and is included in many appetite suppressing diet formulas. It signals to your brain that you aren’t hungry any more.
These same hormones are included in both pine nuts and pine nut oil.
The secret of CCK
The secret to pine nuts effectiveness is cholecystokinin (or CCK) which is a peptide hormone gene expressed through the digestive
tract, set off by food intake and released into the blood stream. The hormone sends a signal to the brain which indicates satiation. It

duodenum (the beginning part of your small intestine) after eating and sends the "full" feeling to the brain. It releases digestive
enzymes from the pancreas, contracts the gall bladder and slows the rate of stomach emptying, helping you feel full. In fact,
cholecystokinin means "to move the gall bladder."

Take Control of What You Eat
There are few things that we have complete control over, but what we put in our mouths is one of
them. We don't have to lose control in a restaurant or a friend's home, and we don't have to eat
everything that's put in front of us.

Consider this:  We love fat because it carries flavor, and restaurants aren't as interested in whether
we'll be around in 30 years as whether we'll be back next week. And what about our friends?


Eat Frequently, and Eat Slowly
It is important to understand what happens when you skip a meal or go on a crash diet. When you
skip a meal your metabolism slows to conserve your energy. And when you lose weight too quickly
for a few days, your body thinks it is threatened with starvation and goes into survival mode. It
fights to conserve your fat stores, and any weight loss comes mostly from water and muscle.

Never skip a meal, especially breakfast, and eat healthy snacks between meals. Eating frequently
prevents hunger pangs and the binges that follow, provides consistent energy, and may be the
single most effective way to maintain metabolism efficiency.

Eating slowly gives our bodies time to tell us they are full before we've eaten more than we need.

Eat More Fruits, Vegetables and Whole Grains
People who eat healthy, mostly unprocessed foods, including fruit, vegetables, whole grains,
legumes, and limited amounts of lean animal protein, often find that they can eat as much as they
want without gaining weight. If they are switching from a diet containing lots of processed foods,
they find that they can eat more yet consume fewer calories -- and they lose weight.

Historically, the Chinese ate mostly rice and vegetables with a little lean meat for protein and flavor,
nothing like the American Chinese restaurant dishes of deep fried sweet and sour pork. A step back
to more natural foods would improve our health and waistlines.

Eat More Fiber
Fiber makes us feel full sooner and stays in our stomach longer than other substances we eat,
slowing down our rate of digestion and keeping us feeling full longer. Due to its greater fiber
content, a single serving of whole grain bread can be more filling than two servings of white bread.
Fiber also moves fat through our digestive system faster so that less of it is absorbed.

Refined grains like white rice and those used to make white bread and sugary breakfast cereals
have had most of their fiber and nutrients stripped away. They turn into blood sugar (glucose) so
fast that, like sugar itself, they can cause a spike in our insulin level. This tells our body that plenty
of energy is readily available and that it should stop burning fat and start storing it.

Eating foods with plenty of fiber will help keep our blood sugar at a more consistent level.

Cut Down on Sugar
Be careful about sugar in coffee and soda pop. It can add up quickly, and these drinks aren't filling.

Watch for "hidden" sugar in processed foods like bread, ketchup, salad dressing, canned fruit,
applesauce, peanut butter, and soups. And be careful with "fat-free" products. Sugar is often used
to replace the flavor that is lost when the fat is removed. Fat-free does not mean calorie-free.

The greater concern with the insulin spike (above) is not that it tells our body to start storing fat.
Whatever we eat and don't burn up eventually gets turned into fat anyway.

The greater concern is that the insulin spike is followed by a drop in insulin level that leaves us
feeling tired and hungry and wanting to eat more. The unfortunate result of this scenario is that it
makes us want to eat something else with a high sugar content. When we do, we start the cycle all
over again.

Regulating your blood sugar level is the most effective way to maintain your fat-burning capacity.

Too Much of a Bad Thing
Foods like cheese stand out as among the most fat-laden, with a great number of calories coming
from fat. But as important as it is to select the healthiest foods, it is also important to consider how
they are prepared.

Fried foods, especially deep-fried, contain a great amount of fat. While chicken and fish are usually
leaner than beef or pork, they can contain more fat when they are fried. Look at how the number of
grams of fat in a chicken breast changes depending on how it is cooked:

"Fried food? All I eat is salad and I still can't lose weight!"

Be careful with salad dressings, mayonnaise, and other condiments that are high in fat content.
They greatly increase the calorie count and can negate the healthy aspects of a meal. Replace
mayonnaise-based condiments with fat-free alternatives like fat-free yogurt, mustard, ketchup and
barbecue sauce.

And remember, a gram of fat contains more than twice as many calories as a gram of protein or
carbohydrate.

Too Little of a Good Thing
But don't try to eliminate fat altogether, as dietary fat is necessary to maintain a healthy body. It is a
vital component for building body tissue and cells, and it aids in the absorption of some vitamins
and other nutrients. Many people eat too much of the bad fats, but also eat too little of the good fats
required for optimal health.

Exercise Regularly
People who exercise regularly not only lose weight faster, they are more successful at keeping it
off. Exercise makes it possible to create a calorie deficit and lose weight without starving your body
and slowing your metabolism.

At home, at the gym, or playing sports, participate in both aerobic and strength building activities on
a regular basis. Not only does the exercise itself burn calories, but your body will continue to burn
calories at a higher rate even after you're done exercising.

If walking is all you can do, then walk because it's great for you. But muscle burns more calories
than fat, so put on a little muscle if you can and you will burn more calories just sitting there...
looking good.

But don't sit too long. The human body is good at adapting. If you dig ditches without gloves, you
will develop calluses to protect your hands. If you sit too long, you will develop extra padding to

Take It Easy
Unless you are excited to be following a very specific diet and exercise plan, do not try and change
too much too fast. If you have been eating poorly and not exercising, both your body and your mind
will have a lot of adjusting to do.

All the sugar and fat were actually quite enjoyable, and sitting on the couch didn't feel too bad,
either. If you try and change everything too quickly the odds are greater that you will feel bad, get
discouraged, and give up. So be patient.

A time will come when a healthy snack will taste as good as the junk food you felt bad about eating,

3-Day Diet in Brief

A 3-day diet plan is one of the short-term diet plans that has captured the whims and fancies of
the youngsters. However, it is not only the youngsters who opt for this diet but also the people of
various age groups who wish to lose weight in a short span of time. There are some who believe
that if the 3-day diet plan is followed correctly, you can lose weight up to 12 lbs in three days.

"3-Day Diet Plan - Three Day Tuna Diet" is a diet plan that includes tuna as a major diet food. This
diet can be called as a low calorie diet. As many people tend to think, there is no magical chemical
reaction taking place in the body. What actually happens in this diet is there is a weight loss
because one stops taking high calories for three days. Apart from that, you lose weight because
there is water loss in your body.

However, remember to follow this diet only for 3 days. After that take a break of four to five days
before you resume this 3-day tuna diet. During the break period you can follow a normal diet with
less intake of fatty food.

Diet Foods Allowed in a 3-Day Diet

The 3-day diet is otherwise known as three-day tuna diet. This is because: one, the main food
included in this 3-day diet is tuna. The other diet foods include toast, fruits, black coffee,
vegetable, ice-cream, saltine crackers, cheese and plenty of water.

The three-day tuna diet program does not have any diet food products of it own. The dieters are
can use diet food products of any brand. A 3-day diet plan allows the dieters to use all kinds of
herbs, pepper, salt, vinegar, lemon, mustard, and the sauces such as tomato sauce, ketchup,
Worcestershire sauce and soya sauce. However, you have to remember to use only diet sugar
and drink only diet soda. The three-day tuna plan stresses on drinking at least four glasses of
water.

A Three-Day Diet Plan

A Three-day diet includes tuna as one of the main food types. A sample plan is given below.

Day #1

Breakfast

* Black tea or coffee (use diet sugar) or water
* Either juice or 1/3 grapefruit
* 1 slice toast (1/2 to 1 tbsp low-fat peanut butter as spread)

Lunch

* 1 slice plain toast
* 1/2 cup tuna
* Water, diet soda or black tea or coffee (use diet sugar)

Dinner

* 2-3 oz. lean meat (fish/chicken)
* 1 cup green beans
* 1 cup grated carrot
* 1 medium apple

Day #2

Breakfast

* 1 egg (omelet, hard-boiled or poached)
* 1 slice plain toast
* 1 banana

Lunch

* 1 cup tuna or cottage cheese
* 5 saltine crackers
* Water, diet soda or black tea or coffee (use diet sugar)

Dinner

* 2 hot dogs or 2 beef franks
* 1 cup cabbage or broccoli
* 1/2 cup grated or sliced carrot
* 1/2 cup sugar-free vanilla ice cream
* Water or black coffee or tea (use diet sugar)

Day #3

Breakfast

* Black tea or coffee (use diet sugar) or water
* 5 saltine crackers
* 1 oz. cheddar cheese
* 1 apple

Lunch

* 1 hard-boiled egg
* 1 slice plain toast
* Water, diet soda or black tea or coffee (use diet sugar)

Dinner

* 1 cup tuna
* 1 cup cauliflower
* 1 cup carrots
* 1 cup melon
* 1/2 cup sugar-free vanilla ice cream
* Water or black coffee or tea (use diet sugar)

Keep in mind that you can have the 3-day tuna diet only once a week. Whether this diet-plan has
helped you to reduce weight or not will depend on the diet you would take for next four days. If
you feast on high calorie food the next four days after the 3-day diet, then you are likely to gain
weight.

•        Place your fingertips to the side of your head behind your ears.
•        Push your lower back down and curl up until your shoulders are a few inches off the floor.
Remember to keep your head up.
•        Hold for a count of 2 and then slowly lower your shoulders back to the starting position.
•        Repeat for the desired number of reps and then switch your legs to the other side.
Tip: For more intense crunches, try using an exercise ball instead of the floor.
Bicycle
•        Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
•        Place your fingertips to the side of your head behind your ears.
•        Push your lower back into the floor while bringing your knees up to a 45-degree angle.
•        Move your legs as though pedaling a bike, touching your right elbow to your left knee and your
left elbow to your right knee.
A good way to achieve optimum results of a tighter tummy is to remember that it is always best to find
exercises that use the core muscle groups simultaneously. By isolating a certain core muscle group,
results will come, but it will take you much longer to get there.

OTHER TIPS TO GET A TIGHTER TUMMY….
•        Breathe slowly and steadily instead of holding your breath.
•        Focus on quality rather than quantity.
•        Don’t over do it. If you exercise intensely, wait a day before exercising again so your muscles
can recover.
•        Stay faithful. The best way to get the results you want is to do core strengthening exercises at
least three times a week.
Having a strong core is a great thing, but you should keep in mind that your body still needs more
than just core strengthening exercises. Find ways to incorporate other aerobic activity into your
fitness regimen as well. With this combination, you will be well on your way to being healthy, strong
and well balanced.
