Paris Hilton has not only had her sentence cut short, she is already out of jail!
See all that praying did work!! Paris is free... well, almost.
Sources that deal with Prothinspo told us that the deal was sealed 6/6/07, and that Hilton made her exit early 6/7/07. She was originally sentenced to 45 days in jail, but that was
reduced to 23. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department held a news conference to discuss what went down... listen to it below.
Paris Hilton has been fitted for ankle bracelet and put under house arrest, after authorities determined to release Hilton from prison due to medical reasons, this according to
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. spokesperson Steve Whitmore. Reporters hammered away about Paris' medical condition, but Whitmore said he could not release even the
slightest details due to confidentiality laws. Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days, where she has a 3000-4000 ft. radius of freedom.
Her jail cell was 96 square feet. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society."
Whitmore wants to make it clear that Paris was not released early, she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.

New details in her medical condition..Paris Hilton's medical condition was purely psychological and that she was in peril of having a nervous breakdown, and that's why she was
released...the County Jail medical team made the final decision to spring Paris based on Dr. Sophy's psychological evaluation. And we're told, Sheriff Lee Baca gave the final
approval.Paris' house arrest does NOT come with any provisions regarding visitors or restrictions on alcohol use. Translation: Party at Paris' this weekend! As quickly as she
was released, Paris Hilton may be headed back to jail. The heiress will be appearing in court 6/8/07at 9:00 AM Los Angeles time to determine whether or not she has to finish out
her sentence in home confinement or in the prison she was released from on Thursday.
This comes after intense criticism from city officials after news broke of her "reassignment."Hilton will be facing the same judge that initially sentenced her in the first place.
Now, Prothinspo learned that there is a battle raging inside the courtroom between Paris' lawyer, the City Attorney and the Sheriff's Dept. -- over the decision to allow Paris
Hilton to appear by phone this morning. Let me ask the stupid question... she is supposed to be in Jail, right? So, how come she can't appear in court today?
A Los Angeles County Sheriff's vehicle is already on the way to pick up the heiress from her West Hollywood home. update 4pm...Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in
Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence! She'll get credit for at least 5 days already served.
Hilton left the courtroom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom." Hilton was also heard saying "It's not right."

Hilton will appeal her sentence.Paris Hilton is currently being checked into Twin Towers Correctional Facility, the same place where she checked herself into custody on
Sunday night after the MTV Movie awards, this according to several media outlets. We're told the appeal is being drafted right now and will be filed either later today or Monday.
Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo issued the following statement ...."This decision sends the message that no individual -- no matter how wealthy or powerful -- is
above the law. Today, justice was served."Hilton will stay there over the weekend, when her lawyer will file an appeal, called a writ of habeas corpus, which means, essentially,
the body is being held illegally.
