| Kevin Bacon will be honored at this year’s Berkshire International Film Festival Festival executive director Kelley Vickery says Bacon will receive the Achievement in Film Award on May 16 during a presentation at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. Vickery says his selection is consistent with the festival’s goal of honoring someone with strong ties to the community. Bacon has a home in northwest Connecticut Bacon made his film debut in "Animal House" in 1978 and received a Golden Globe nomination in 1994 for his work in "The River Wild." He has appeared in 60 films during a 30-year career, including "Footloose," ”Apollo 13," ”A Few Good Men," and "Mystic River."
