Pop singer Katy Perry is currently on her world tour. We’ve already seen in quite a few tabloid articles that she is an avid jump roper and will often jump rope before a concert in order to get pumped up. In her latest interview with the Australian Women’s Health Magazine she talked more about her eating habits as well as jump roping. When asked if she watches what she eats the slender songstress said that while on holiday she will eat whatever she pleases but while on tour the catered meals are very healthy. She said, “But on this tour the catering [is] a lot more grilled chicken – nothing fried. Everything is organic. No chips in sight – if they’re in front of you, you eat them.” She also mentioned that she is sure to drink plenty of water in order to stay hydrated and she doesn’t see how some people only drink diet sodas. She explained, “I have a couple of friends who I have never seen with a bottle of water in their hands. In a recent interview she admitted it’ s her secret to staying slim and it also happens to be her favorite food and she could eat tons of them. She said,“I really love truffles but I hardly ever get them. Mushrooms in general though are so healthy and good for you.” She did admit that she has some weaknesses for unhealthy food such as Chinese take-out, pizza, barbecue chicken and her ultimate favorite is the Double Double at In-N-Out Burger. Even though she loves all these greasy foods she is careful not to indulge because she puts on weight easily.In previous interviews Katy has said she loves to jump rope to keep the pounds off. She can jump up to 30 minute without stopping! Katy is currently working on planning her wedding with fiance, Russel Brand. It looks like the pre-wedding diet is paying off, and that thanks to celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, who’s been helping the hot singer get into the best shape of her life. For the past year, Pasternak has been working side by side with Perry so she can lose weight and look fabulous for her special day, and every day. The celebrity trainer has her on the Five Factor diet and the five days a week workout so she can reach her goal. “Her goal is to look amazing — always,” Pasternak revealed. “She’s getting in shape for everything…wedding, music videos, touring, etc. She works out as often as she can, she’s a busy woman but her goal is five times a week.” Perry replaced her favorites – pizza and Chinese takeout – with five small but healthy meals a day that include lean proteins, fiber, healthy fats and non-sugar drinks. “A typical day’s diet would be an egg white omelet with a bowl of berries, an apple cinnamon smoothie, a chop salad, three-bean BBQ chips and finishing off with a seafood stir fry for dinner.” When it comes to her workout, the singer exercises five days a week, for about 25 minutes. She does cardio, strength training and exercises for her abs. With all this dieting and a soon-to-be husband that is vegetarian, Perry decided her next album should be about meat. “For my next album I’d like it to be about meat and I want to be on the cover wearing a bacon bikini. Also I want my records to smell of sausage or pork. CDs are over, but not if they smell original.” Hopefully, that’s the diet talking. |
