Charlotte Church is pregnant. But if you
didn't know, you wouldn't be able to tell.

after baby... now she just looks big all
over not pregnant.. but, don't call her fat
she is preggo...
3/2/2010 Charlotte has never been much into hitting the gym to begin with, and is
determined to lose her baby weight without working out. “Celebrities who have babies
seem to be stick thin again within weeks – they must spend every waking hour at the gym.
Charlotte is determined to get the weight off, but she will do it gradually.” said her mother.

Truth is that this is possible. A woman on average burn 500 calories a day just
breastfeeding, with all the moving around and care that also goes into a newborn, a
woman can easily get back to normal weight. However one must not over indulge or the
calories burned will never cause the pregnancy weight to fall away, celebrate the birth of
a newborn with fresh veggies not cake and ice cream

Singer Charlotte Church turned into a size 16 after giving birth to her two children, two year old Ruby and
18 month old Dexter, but she has since slimmed back down to a comfortable size 8.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this thin,” the 24-year-old said. “It’s very simple. I just eat better and eat less
food than I used to. So that means less stodge, less junk food and smaller portions.”

She says she hasn’t taken on any specific exercise regimens because she doesn’t like to exercise.  
However, she does walk her dogs and eat a protein and veggie rich diet.

I certainly haven’t embarked on some great exercise regime to get slim. Exercise is alien to me and I don’t
like doing it.”

Charlotte also threw out all the junk food in her house to minimize the temptation to eat more calories and
fat.

A sample menu for her post baby diet includes:

Breakfast
Two slices of granary toast with peanut butter
a banana

Lunch
Omelet with tomatoes
mushrooms and peppers

Dinner
Salmon steak with tomato
cucumber salad
couscous

Snacks
Handful of almonds
Half an avocado

Celeb Diet Doc Says…
Overall a good menu with limited processed foods (couscous and toast). She could improve her diet by
upping the amount of greens in her diet.

Church confessed losing weight and looking fit was also a goal she has set for herself,
especially now that she’s launching a comeback album and needs to be in shape.

“I was just fed up. Fed up of having massive bingo wings. I thought, “I’m in my early 20s
and, yeah, I’ve had two kids, but there’s no reason why I shouldn’t look like I did before I
had two kids,” she said.

To shed some pounds, the singer “just ate less” and focused on portion control.

“So I just ate less. I still ate whatever I wanted, just less of it. I halved the portions of
everything I ate,” she revealed.

Church is not only happy with her new figure,  but also with her new relationship with
songwriter Jonathan Powell. The downside, she admits, is that being happy makes her
want to eat more. But she’d rather be “fat and happy”.

“Generally, for me, slimness comes with a little bit of upset or stress. Whereas when I’m
happy I tend to get a little bit bigger. Which is fine. I’d rather be fat and happy, to be
honest.”
