People ask me everyday what was the strongest product that I have taken to lose weight the fastest. I took Prothinspo's Hydroxylim/ Diet Slim...I chose this product because of two studies.... The first studied showed a more rapid and effective weight loss than other diet products.This study set out to determine the efficacy of a calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia alone and in combination with niacin-bound chromium and a standardized Gymnema Sylvestre Extract on weight-loss parameters in human volunteers. I know blah blah, but In a double-blind fashion, 60 moderately obese individuals were randomly assigned to three groups. Group 1 received just calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia. Group 2 received the Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract. Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects received a 2000 kcal/day diet, participated in supervised walking five times per week, and took their assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes before meals. Test measurements were then performed throughout the study, evaluating changes in bodyweight, body mass index (BMI), appetite, blood lipids, and markers of fat oxidation. After 8 weeks, Group 1 lost an average of 10 pounds, Group 2 lost 12.54 pounds, and the placebo group lost 3.53 pounds. At 8 weeks, both Group 1 and 2 were found to have lost significantly more weight than the placebo group. A reduction in appetite was also demonstrated in both Group 1 and 2. In addition, both Group 1 and 2 showed a significant increase in indicators of fat breakdown. It was concluded that supplementation with the combination of (-)– hydroxycitric acid (HCA-SX), niacin-bound chromium, and Gymnema Sylvestre Extract can help people with weight management. Very Cool Huh? So there is more... The next study was an 8 week study....In this 8-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human trial, 30 moderately obese subjects were divided into three groups. Group 1 received just the calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia. Group 2 received Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract. Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects were placed on a 2000 kcal/day diet; ingested the assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes prior to meals; and participated in supervised walking five times per week. At the end of 8 weeks, Group 1 lost, on average, 12.1 pounds. Group 2 lost, on average, 14.99 pounds. Group 3 lost, on average, 3.06 pounds. Moreover, the placebo group showed a slight increase in food consumption, while the HCA groups both showed a significant reduction in appetite compared to placebo. Based on the results from this study, it was concluded that the unique HCA extract used in this trial, either alone or in combination with Gymnema Sylvestre Extract and niacin-bound chromium, is effective in helping control appetite, increase fat oxidation, and promote weight loss. Where is the Butt (Gluteus Maximus) The scientific name for the butt is the glutues maximus or glutes for short. It is the round muscle below the back and hips that is involved with almost any motion that the leg makes in case there is someone out there who doesn’t know where their butt is!

Working Out the Butt Working out the butt isn’t that hard. It is worked almost anytime we use our legs and as such the way to make muscle gains is to make harder what we do normally.
The following motions and exercises work the butt muscles really well:
•Stair Climbing •Hill running •Bike Riding •Sprinting •Lunges •Squats Now, we are never going to shape and tone our butt if we just do normal squats, just going through the motions. Likewise, we are not going to make any progress by just wandering up some stairs. Like any muscle, in order to make it grow we need to add resistance by adding weight or intensity. One of my favourite examples that brings back some painful memories for me is carrying a heavy boxing bag up a flight of stairs for half an hour. That will give you sore legs tomorrow.
However, that also is a little extreme. The best and most traditional way to shape the butt is with weights at the gym. I will go over some of the simple ways later.
Getting a Toned Butt... Getting a toned butt is an emotional task. It can take a very long time and the results can be painfully slow. However, with the information contained in this post and this blog losing that fat butt will be as painless as possible. Here are the important aspects that you MUST DO if you want to lose your fat butt as fast as possible:
1 - All over weight loss Yep, you guessed it! If you want to have a good looking and shapely butt you need to lose the fat that is covering it. It is like any muscle, if you want people to be able to see the definition and tone you need to remove the layer of fat that is covering it.

The types of cardio that are best for the butt are the hard ones! Sprinting up hills, lunging, jumping squats and all that kind of stuff. You see, if you increase the elevation of the surface or do cardio that makes you bend over more then your butt will get more use. So, if you wan to shape and tone your butt while you are doing cardio, pick a hard one.
3 - Weight Training Weight training for the butt isn’t that hard. It is essential. Not only does weight training shape your butt muscles, it makes your metabolism speed up and as such you will burn more fat and absorb less calories as fat during the day. All of these are the perfect ingredients for toning a muscle!

Keep a wider stance on this one with some heavy weights to really work your butt.

This time period was prior to the development of agriculture, so the plants available to these dieters are mostly ones available to gatherers and hunters. Food can be cooked though because it was common practice in that era. Most participants will be limited to lean meat, fish, veggies, fruit, roots and nuts. Grains, dairy, salt, refined sugar, oils and legumes are all strictly prohibited.
Possible Side Effects May Include: Dieters may have a hard time getting their daily calcium intake, but other than that, it is not dangerous. Most restaurants do offer food that would fit into this dietary plan –steaks, salads, etc.
How Many Calories Should I Eat? The amount of calories you need every day really depends on your goals, age, activity levels, gender and so on.
The USDA Dietary Guidelines For Americans has devised a chart that estimates the amount of calories needed to maintain energy balance for various gender and age groups at three different levels of physical activity.
The estimates are rounded to the nearest 200 calories and were determined using the Institute of Medicine equation, described below.
Things of note:
1. These levels are based on Estimated Energy Requirements (EER) from the Institute of Medicine Dietary Reference Intakes macronutrients report, 2002, calculated by gender, age, and activity level for reference-sized individuals. “Reference size,” as determined by IOM, is based on median height and weight for ages up to age 18 years of age and median height and weight for that height to give a BMI of 21.5 for adult females and 22.5 for adult males.
2. Sedentary means a lifestyle that includes only the light physical activity associated with typical day-to-day life.
3. Moderately active means a lifestyle that includes physical activity equivalent to walking about 1.5 to 3 miles per day at 3 to 4 miles per hour, in addition to the light physical activity associated with typical day-to-day life
4. Active means a lifestyle that includes physical activity equivalent to walking more than 3 miles per day at 3 to 4 miles per hour, in addition to the light physical activity associated with typical day-to-day life.
Of course these are just estimates and your daily needs will most likely vary depending on your goals.
The Bottom Line You could ask ten different professionals and get ten different answers to how many calories you should be eating.
But, what it comes down to is your goals!

If you really want to give that annoying body fat the ol’ one, two punch, then along with a proper diet you must workout. But, with about a gazillion different exercise routines to choose from how do you know which one is a good fat burning workout.
The answer is simple – any workout that you enjoy doing! If you enjoy your workout you are more likely to do it and more importantly stick with it for the long run.
To get the most fat burning effect out of your favorite workouts it’s a good idea to follow these simple tips:
1.Be consistent – It seems like a no-brainer that consistently working out will help you burn more calories, which is the key to burning fat, but it’s also extremely important for weight management. 2.Mix in resistance exercise with your cardio – Resistance exercise, or weight training, does several things: it helps preserve muscle mass when dieting, helps keep your metabolism high and helps you burn more calories. 3.Vary your workout plans to constantly stimulate your body and keep things interesting. If you are just starting out, then it might not be a good idea to jump right in with a high intensity program. Instead ease yourself into a simple, calorie burning exercise routine and slowly progress. Walking is a great way to start! Once you feel more comfortable with working out and want to step it up a little then it’s time to try something a little more intense. Your options are limitless, but here are a few popular fat burning workouts:
Interval training – This consists of short bouts of intense exercise followed by a brief recovery period and then repeated. For example, run on the treadmill at a fast pace for 1 minute, then bring it down to a walk for 30 seconds and repeat this cycle 10 times. Studies have shown that interval training burns more fat and can have the same effects as doing longer, sustained physical activity such as jogging for an hour, but in half the time! Mix this with 2 – 3 days of resistance training per week and you will have a complete fat burning workout.
Tabata Training – This is a high intensity interval training workout that takes just 4 minutes to complete. But, don’t let the short time fool you. If performed correctly, it will be the most grueling 4 minutes of your life! Developed by by Dr. Izumi Tabata, these intervals consist of bouts of extremely intense exercise for 20 seconds then rest for 10 seconds and repeat this 8 times for a total of 4 minutes. For example, you could climb on an elliptical and push yourself as hard as you possibly can for 20 seconds, then completely rest for 10 seconds and repeat this 8 times – remembering that it’s extremely important to go all out during each 20 second period.
Zumba – If you don’t want to have to create your own fat burning workout then try one of the extremely popular home dvd workouts like the Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation DVD’s or P90X, which I describe below. Zumba is great for those who love to dance or would like to learn how – all while getting a great workout. It’s a great way to spice up boring old workouts while performing a variety of Latin dances like the Salsa or the Cha Cha. Zumba is great for all levels of fitness, whether your new or advanced.
P90X – Arguably the most popular fitness DVD set on the market in the last few years! The P90X Extreme Home Fitness Workout Program is an intense full body fitness routine that claims to eliminate your excess body fat in 90 days. If you’re just starting out then you might find P90X to be extremely difficult. But, it is a great program and has helped literally thousands of people burn off fat!
Local Gyms – Most local gyms have exercise classes that you can sign up for. Just stop in and explain to them your fitness level and goals and they should be able to set you up with the right class.
