Known as THE BARBI TWINS, Shane and Sia Barbi first shot to fame in the mid 90's with
two of Playboy's top selling issues. The Barbi Twins also started the multimillion-dollar
calendar business with four worldwide #1 selling calendars. This made them household
names and generated TV & movie scripts which were written for them, exclusively. After
becoming comic book heroines, "The Hollywood Icons", as the media called them, took a
sabbatical at the peak of their careers.

The choice of a quiet life enabled them to recover from their life-death struggle with
bulimia and finish their degrees in nutrition. They are back to share their experience,
strength and hope with their new book,
"DYING TO BE HEALTHY". The book has
received great reviews and they requested that all proceeds be donated to eating
disorder charities. Their most recent interviews discussing their book and their battle
with bulimia brought 48 HRS., Entertainment Tonight - (cover stories), and several other
news & talk shows, their highest ratings for the season! They also received an
overwhelming response to their full-page feature articles in the N.Y. Post (8/11/00), USA
Today (9/13/00), and The Advocate (cover, 02/01/01).

As authors and spokeswomen, THE BARBI'S, who will continue touring the country, are
already giving lectures at universities, (USC, Cal Stage Long Beach, etc) and high
schools, as well as the Learning Annes, nationwide. They have a movie of the week on
their life, in development. On May 27th, 2001, they were featured in their own "E!" True
Hollywood Story.
Barbi Twins Update
2/14/07
Two of Anna Nicole Smith's famous former friends claim they offered to help Smith conquer her demons a few years ago, but
she never called them back.

TMZ spoke with the legendary Playboy playmates, Shane and Sia, who claim that one of Anna's many "managers" called and
asked them "to do an intervention with Anna. That was our last contact with her, asking in a phone message if she wanted to
go to AA with us." However, the plan backfired. "We never heard from her again, so we felt we hurt her feelings and wished we
had said it more lovingly in person, instead of on the phone."

The Barbi twins, who met Anna through stylist Daniel DiCriscio in 2000, say they will always remember Anna as "a funny,
sweet and refreshingly honest friend."
