Breatharian Concept Intro
NTRODUCTION TO
THE BREATHARIAN CONCEPT

WARNING: When fasting, DO NOT deprive yourself of water or
other liquids, especially in the initial stage!

DEFINITION

a breatharian is one who has, as a result of extended fasting,
totally exhausted all excess body fat and who has metabolized
all excess bodily tissues.

a breatharian is one who is totally and thoroughly free/clean
internally of all food-related toxins and, therefore, free
from all chronic degenerative diseases related to the presence
of such materials.

a breatharian is one who has no further need or desire or
cravings for any so-called nutritional substances ("foods"),
be they liquid or solid.

a breatharian, therefore, is one who no longer eats.

* * *

If one eats, one is, by definition, not a Breatharian. The
Breatharian, because he takes no foods into the body,
therefore, essentially has no further need for water either,
as water appears to be the cleanser, and since the stuff which
is cleansed from the body (food products and their toxic
by-products) are no longer present in the body, there is
essentially no further need for the cleanser, water.

A Breatharian should sleep very little, to none at all. A
Breatharian should be among the most powerful of folks, not
necessarily in muscular strength, but in the ability to go and
go and keep on going, when others would have long since had to
stop for food, water, and rest.

How is it that one can survive without food?

The idea here is that we do not now, nor have we ever, "lived"
on so-called "foods." What we truly live on, if anything at all,
is, as of yet, still a Divine Mystery to me.

My personal belief is that "foods" are, in reality, nothing
more than addictive drugs. Some foods appear to be less
harmful than others.

Why would anyone want to become a Breatharian?

For me, Breatharianism is about a spiritual quest -- a
questleading to the maximum expansion of personal consciousness/
awareness -- to come into a condition in which, ideally, all
doubt will be removed, a condition in which we will be able to
know how to correctly proceed in all circumstances -- to come
into a condition in which one's "contact" with god is maxed
out! -- to become at one with the very consciousness of God,
if such a thing is possible!

"Foods" and Consciousness

It is my belief that the brain is the organ through which
consciousness is manifested into the physical world. So, if
this is true, then it is reasonable to believe that the
structure and functioning of the brain will have an effect on
the nature of the consciousness that proceeds through and from
it into the outer world.

The brain is "fed" or conditioned by what resides in the
blood, and the blood contains the products, by-products, and
waste materials from what we have eaten. If we eat garbage,
will not the functioning of the brain suffer, and if brain
function is being limited by the food substances in the blood,
is it not possible that if we were able to cleanse the blood
of these limiting substances that our level of personal
consciousness might be expanded?

Where will the power come from?

well, i believe i have received what, for me, is a most
exciting and reassuring revelation concerning precisely by
what mechanism one will receive the actual power to finally
become a Breatharian, and so, with that, i will now share this
revelation with you...

i believe the power to actually become a Breatharian will come
to us from a Spirit. the power will come when a Helpful
Spirit literally comes to the one who is finally ready. the
Spirit will speak either words or thoughts into the head of
the person. (Sister Susan, being a visionary from childhood,
was actually able to both see and hear the "angels" who told
her what to do, regarding the cessation of diet. However, my
suspicion is that most of us will be wonderfully blessed to
just be receiving the words of the Spirit as thoughts that
come into our heads.)

i believe that our heads will be filled with various things in
regards to the process of becoming a Breatharian. and all of
these things will ENSURE the success of the undertaking! and,
that without the guidance from this Spirit, it will not
happen.

i believe that a plan will be given, specifically for the
individual. i believe that our minds will be sharply FOCUSED
by this Spirit on precisely and exactly what we must do. ibelieve
that a great MOTIVATION will also be given to us from
this Spirit, and great EXCITEMENT for the task, and this
motivation and excitement will be with us and will stay with
us, pushing us forward until the goal has becomes ours!

i believe we will be able to clearly see the course and KNOW
that we can and will finish it, and this vision and
knowingness will be given to us from this Spirit.

and the REASON for doing it will also be given. reason is
related to motivation. if we can see the Reason, we can call
upon this reason for motivation if temptation should try to
side-track us. but, when this Spirit is with us, there will
be no negative spirit who will have the power to take us away
from the FOCUS which is maintained within us by this Helpful
Spirit.

and, with the Reason, the Motivation, and the Focus - all
provided by this Spirit - success is absolutely guaranteed.
but, until this Spirit comes to the individual, i am doubtful
that it will be possible for the individual to actually become
a Real Breatharian, which is as it must be, imo.

so, if it is the Will of God that we should, in fact,
eventually become a Breatharian, then a Helpful Spirit will,
when the time is right, come to us, and the job WILL be done!

this is the revelation which i believe has been given to me.
and now, it is yours, too, if you want it.

so be it!

Breatharian Diet Review..

Background
The Breatharian Diet is based on the inedia principle, which claims that food and water are not
necessary to sustain life and that the human body can very well subsist on air, sunlight and Prana (life
force) alone. In the US, the Breatharian Institute of America has been promoting the concept of the
Breatharian Diet for the past few years, focusing on the spiritual concept of inedia or fasting, although
the practice has not been without controversy. In the 90s, a few European followers died when trying to
abide by the diet, mostly of dehydration aggravated by the lack of food.

What to Eat
Most Breatharians claim that no food at all is needed to stay alive. Many believe than just water or
herbal teas, combined with sun exposure, are enough to keep them alive. However, many of the people
who claim to live a Breatharian life are either reluctant to be examined by doctors or refuse to submit to
tests to prove that they have, in fact, avoided solids altogether. Other Breatharians, such as the
infamous Wiley Brooks, founder of the Breatharian Institute of America, who claims he subsists on “air
and sunlight” most of the time, but that he breaks the fast once in a while by eating a McDonald's burger
and a Diet Coke. He explains the choice by saying that junk food provides a specific energetic balance
needed to contrarest the clean state he maintains the rest of the time.

Inedia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Inedia is the alleged ability to live without food, which has been dismissed by the scientific community.
Breatharianism is a related concept, in which believers claim food and possibly water are not necessary,
and that humans can be sustained solely by prana (the vital life force in Hinduism), or according to
some, by the energy in sunlight. The terms breatharianism or inedia may also refer to this philosophy
practiced as a lifestyle in place of the usual diet. While it is often seen as an esoteric practice
performed by eastern ascetics, recently some groups and individuals have promoted the practice as an
option for anybody, once the alleged proper techniques for accessing it are made known (sometimes
only after paying enormous fees, e.g. in the case of the "Breatharian Institute of America").[1]

The word "inedia" simply means "fasting" in Latin, and was first used to describe a fast-based lifestyle
within Catholic tradition, which holds that certain saints were able to survive for extended periods of
time without food or drink other than the Eucharist.

Breatharian's tips,

The stomach is an abnormal inflation designed to store excess food untill your digestive tract can deal
with it. When you fast or stop eating it shrinks back to its original tubular state, allowing your solar
plexus(directly behind your stomach) to start beating again.

CONSCIOUS OR CONTROLLED BREATHING
Go somewhere private where you will not be disturbed and take five deep continuous and fairly quick
breaths. Do not pause after each exhale and keep the breaths connected or continuous through
conscious control.
When you're done stand still with your arms slightly outstretched and feel the euphoria and tingling
sensation all over. You will not even need to breathe for awhile as your body is fully oxygenated and
does not require pulmonic movement. Air contains fire or the life force and you have just burned away
much of the dross or waste in your body that came into contact with your breath. If you try to move now
you will feel lighter and stronger and your head clearer, and if you look in the mirror you will look more
pale or thin.
When your normal breathing comes back you can try this again, except this time go for ten breaths,
followed by fifteen or twenty. Do not overdo this if you are a smoker or living where the air is very
polluted. Go to your garden or backyard, or even inside your house if it is well ventilated.
The best times are in the early morning or late evening when carbon monoxide levels are lower. Bad air
can kill you as swiftly as good air can heal you.
You can do this exercise daily as a form of cleansing or rejuvenating exercise. It also works much like a
zapper burning away many parasites. Deep and controlled breathing is especially effective during a fast
when the oxygen is able to penetrate deeper into all parts of the body and quicken healing.

The first humans neither ate nor drank nor slept nor died. Adam was physcally immortal and covered
with angelic light and could telepath and teleport and was the awe of everyone and everything around
him -untill he began eating. Then his light went out and he fell to the ground unconcious. When the fruit
was eliminated from his system he regained strength and conciousness. Unfortunately, once you start
eating, the taste sears your mind, and you develop a craving or addiction for more -and the rest is
human history! Humanity is an addicted race and has been so nearly from its beginnings. The reptillian
or serpent race, who are the biggest eaters of all, were instrumental to our acquiring this nasty habit.
They want to bring us down with them so they encourage eating in all its forms. Eating leads to sex and
this another favourite reptillian activity. Eating unbalances the sex hormones and is what changed
bisexual humanity into male and female. Breatharianism, or living on air and/or light is the ideal state for
humans, sadly, the presently polluted state of our planet makes this very difficult to achieve. One would
have to live in a relatively pure and peaceful environment in order to succeed. The same goes for
fruitarianism(eating only fruit) unless one lives in the semi-tropics and picks his or her own chemical-
free fruits.

Eating or Not Eating??
The modern sedentary lifestyle, combined with much leisure time spent watching television, full of
advertisements for food, is a basic explanation for the fact that so many people in the modern world are
so overweight and mis-shapen. But even in TV commercials for food, the emphasis is not on nutritional
value, or on how you’ll feel afterwards, but simply how good it looks, and how good it tastes. Yummee,
let’s get some. I understand that the most popular food in America is pizza, which tastes and smells
great.
But isn’t it interesting that a thing like food, which is so attractive, and so desirable, become an object
that is so gross and obnoxious when it comes out the other end? I mean, did you ever think about this?
Isn’t it kind of strange? That’s why it’s important - - if you must eat, whether for physical, spiritual or
emotional reasons - - to eat the lightest food, in the most efficient, lightest way. The least amount, the
least often (the most hours or days between meals), the fewer combinations, the simpler, the less
frequent, the better.

Breatharians can eat!
I know this may com e as a shock to some, but yes, it's true - YOU can be a Breatharian and still EAT! How
it's possible? Here are some thoughts, tips & theories:

Breatharians eat for "mechanical reasons" - - because they’re hungry for example. However, there is a
deeply ingrained belief in nutrition, which is the belief that various substances, (proteins, vitamins,
minerals, etc) in different foods provide certain biological benefits).   Even I myself often use belief in
nutrition as a basis for eating (bee pollen, for example, which has a relatively bad flavor).   There are
many foods which taste horrible, but which are supposedly beneficial, such as garlic, royal jelly, etc.

For the breatharian, even for a breatharian who eats, eating becomes easier.  The appetite gets
stronger.       Digestion is stronger.  The satisfaction with eating is greater.  The requirement for food is
less, and the dependence on food, the mental belief in the need for eating all the time, becomes
absent.  Breatharians will still eat, but they will catch themselves.   They will not eat like a pig, or like one
who believes in the "chemical theory" of nutrition, who believes it is necessary to consume and
stockpile the "nutrients" that are in the food.
Breatharians like myself who nevertheless eat, must be careful to not take it too lightly.  Eating is
somewhat offensive to a breatharian.  But eating should be neither something to strive for, nor
something to necessarily avoid (like the anorexic who starves herself to death, but still doesn’t get any
pleasure, except from alleviating her concern with what other people think of her figure).  Breatharians
can eat a little, and be happy.  The purpose and goal of life is not in eating.

Breatharians don’t chase after food, or avoid it, but simply enjoy it when they are hungry. They eat a
little, and that’s enough to feel great. Other breatharians may eat even less, or nothing, and may even
feel better.  It is important to distinguish between a satisfied breatharian, and a starving anorexic.  By
understanding the theory, philosophy, science and practice of breatharianism, which recognizes the
deleterious nature of eating, it is easy to be a satisfied breatharian, instead of a starving anorexic.

People on yo-yo diets wouldn’t go on wild weight swings, if they understood breatharianism, and
practiced it.   It would be hard to understand breatharian philosphy, and not practice it. Wiley Brooks
from http://breatharian.com  kept saying "it takes no discipline to be a breatharian; it takes
understanding....  It takes no discipline to avoid standing in the middle of the freeway when cars are
going by," and it takes no discipline to avoid eating, when you know and believe, and have had
experiences proving, that food is not all that "good" for you.  Even if some food were "good" for you,
breaharianism may still be better!

"STOP EATING" DIET
Fasting is an ancient practice, also used by many animals in nature when they get sick. It has been well-
known throughout human history, and has been well-researched.   Fasting is a practice that it safe and
effective, and hundreds of books have been written on the subject and are available (see
bibliography).   By not eating, the body saves a lot of energy it would normally use on digestion.
Fasting allows a deep, physiological rest of the digestive organs, and the energy saved goes into self-
healing and self-repairing.

Another aspect of the Stop Eating diet is that it offers a possible cure to world hunger, as well as great
health to those who follow it.   "Stop Eating" is a catchy title, and it reinforces the main theme, but it
doesn’t mean to stop eating altogether, or forever.   It just means "watch it!"    And "watch out!"
Because eating food can be like playing with fire, and you don’t want it to backfire on you!

Sure, food is pleasant to look at, and to smell, and it can be very appetizing, but eating it without
moderation, or without strong can be very debilitating.    There have been times when I ate the wrong
foods, or too much food, or got gas so bad which caused me to be so bloated, that I couldn’t work, walk,
or even bend over.  I could only peacefully lay down, on my back or on my side.  This has probably
happened to many of us, on occasion.  Overeating and/or indigestion also distract from clear thinking.

Especially now, so many people in the modern world have sedentary occupations and sedentary
lifestyles, which also contribute to ill health, or dis-ease, which is the lack of ease.   Such sedentary
lifestyle, combined with the affluence of the west, and the smorgasbord of food choices available in the
modern supermarkets,  is a major contributing cause of obesity and other associated health problems.
American breatharian and founder of the Breatharian Institute, Wiley Brooks, told the story of an obese
man who explained he had a "gland problem." "Sure, he has a gland problem," joked Wiley, "It’s called
his mouth!"

The supermarkets are full of thousands of items, thousands of choices are available, thousands of
questionable concoctions and mixtures of different things, that all have to pass through our genetically-
evolved intestinal tract.   But man is not meant to be a garbage can.  Man is not even meant to be an
omnivore, although many people are, and have adapted, but at a cost.

Meanwhile, we are brainwashed and programmed through the encouragement of food advertisements,
which appear all around us, on billboards, in magazines, and on TV, and even in health books touting
the latest "secret" health-food. At the same time, food industry scientists are always coming up with a
new pill or potion that concentrates the magical qualities of different foods into a pill or potion.

The automobile is another convenience that contributes to the eating problem, because now we can go
shopping and carry tons of food in the back of our car.   And let’s not forget the convenience of
refrigerators, stoves, microwave ovens, and flush toilets.   If we didn’t have these things, or didn’t use
these things, we might be more conscious of our eating activity.

As people age, their powers of digestion weaken, or diminish.  Many old people eat very little, and also
have little appetite.   That’s one reason you don’t see too many old people, who are fat or obese.  If you
think about all the oldest people you know, many of them are skinny as a rail.  Another thing among old
people is that they can’t or don’t sleep, either very long or very deeply.  Perhaps this is related to the
fact that they don’t eat much.  My own theory has been that this is God’s way to force them to do some
soul-searching and deep meditation.  Because if you can’t eat, or can’t sleep, you’re going to have to do
something with your time, (like meditate and repent).

As humanity prepares itself for the next great leap in consciousness, a leap that is but a simple decision
away for ALL of us, the need to feed our energy systems with appropriate nutrition that facilitates and
powers this leap becomes more critical.

Everyone who has ever eaten only raw plant based foods for even only a few weeks will attest to the
powerful mental and physiological energetic transformation that comes with natural nutrition.

Our multi-dimensional beings however yearn for more than mental and physiological transformation
alone. Not only should we develop other parts of our selves, but we must also be mindful of the
interconnected, interactive and interdependent nature of all our energy systems.

Since Spirit, Mind and Body influence each other and are but one and the same but holding different
positions on the "Light / True Self" continuum, the key to stilling spirit and purifying body and mind is
Prana, as this is the Life Force.

The main method for this is purification and balance of the channels through which Prana flows,
otherwise known as Pranayama, accompanied by silent meditative focus on breath and emptiness of
mind.

On a psychological level, Prana governs our receptivity to positive sources of nourishment, feeling and
knowledge through the mind and senses. When imbalanced it causes wrong desire and insatiable
craving. We become misguided, misdirected and generally out of balance.

Most of us will have experienced the challenges of food cravings, especially during transition onto a
raw plant based diet and also even when fairly travelled along this path. Food cravings, especially
during "raw transition", does however have solutions like everything else.

One such tried, tested and confirmed solution is Pranayama.

While all Pranayama aids in this regard, the most important, and most easily learned and implemented is
alternate nostril breathing. This Pranayama aids in the balance of the right and left Prana currents.

According to the Yogic system the body and all of its channels follow a right or left predominance.

The right side of the body is masculine or solar in nature and is Pitta or fire predominant. Right nostril
breathing increases energy on the right side and aids in such activities as digestion, work, and
concentration.

The left side is feminine or lunar in nature and is Kapha or water predominant. Left nostril breathing
increases energy on the left side of the body and aids in such activities as rest, sleep and relaxation.

The following is an outline of how to do "alternate nostril breathing" Pranayama, and I am more than
certain that if you do this regularly, every morning for even just 10-15 minutes, and if possible 3-5 times
during the day, especially when you need a little pick me up, your daily energy, will power, and
concentration levels will increase.

Since everything is connected, the meditative benefits of this exercise will positively affect all other
areas of your being and life. Maintaining "the path", being more alert and being more open to
discovering your life's purpose are just a few of these related and interdependent benefits.

Before I explain the exercise, I'd like to a share a highly relevant quote from Tony Buzan, the world-
renowned psychologist who has researched extensively into thought and life systems that aid in the
development of our innate multi-dimensional genius.

"There are 10 Intelligences: Creative, Personal, Social, Spiritual, Physical, Sensual, Sexual, Numerical,
Spatial and Verbal...Think of your Multiple Intelligences as a finger on a pair of unbelievably adept and
agile piano-playing hands. It is possible of course for you to play your life's music with one finger, or
with two...The music of your life, however, is far better played with all the fingers of your Multiple
Intelligences performing their magic on the keyboard of your existance."
