Now here are some DIETING TIPS! You have to exercise and eat healthier, otherwise you may not notice any improvement and—even worse—you may gain weight.
Try to limit water consumption to 10 glasses per day. People can drink far more water than necessary while exercising, however, putting them at risk of water intoxication. (Water intoxication is incredibly rare, and easy to avoid by making sure to consume electrolytes <even just salt> along with the large amounts of water) I am totally hooked on this product ONE it is so great and I drink it all the time. My favorite is the coconut water.
Limit the following: Soda: the average soda is full of calories, sugar, and other chemicals. Too much bread/butter: A slice of bread with butter has around 170 calories (100 calories per medium sliced slice of bread and 70 calories per 10g of butter). Large portions: You’ll end up eating much less and save a lot of money as a bonus! Dressing: Salad dressing is the main source of calories and other things to avoid in salad, try vinegar or hummus as a low-cal dressing. Remember not to start out as a maniac with anything, remember to do a little bit at a time until you get used to it. Get a friend to follow the diet with you. Sometimes, when following a diet by yourself, you'll break the rules because it's just you. But following it with a friend, you have a partner who will help keep you on track and responsible. Aside from allowing you to maintain your muscle (or build some more), you are probably wondering how a high protein diet can be effective for someone trying to lose weight and lose fat. Well, it's just as simple. Most high protein foods are extremely low in calories, carbs and saturated/trans fat (which are the fats you DON'T want to eat). Therefore, by eating a high protein diet loaded with high protein foods, you end up eating a lot of healthy, filling, lower calorie foods. And if you didn't already know, in order to lose weight and lose fat, eating slightly less calories is the key. Some high protein foods are: chicken turkey lean meats and beef fish (every fish is high in protein, from tuna fish, to salmon, to shrimp) egg whites beans nuts There are other high protein foods, but these are the basics. How much should I eat per day? The next question you probably have is how much protein should there be in a high protein diet. 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight is probably the most common recommendation for healthy adults. So, if you weigh 175lbs, eat about 175 grams of protein everyday, whether you worked out that day or not. I personally eat a little over 1 gram of protein per pound, and most people with the primary goal of building muscle and gaining weight can possibly benefit from a slightly higher intake like this. People only looking to lose weight (or just maintain their weight) can shoot for 0.7 - 1 gram per pound. Now some people might be thinking: "Eating a high protein diet at 1 gram per pound of body weight sounds impossible, how the hell am I supposed to eat that much protein every day?" Well, a lot of people have this problem. Not many people have time to make high protein foods like chicken breasts all day long or carry tuna fish around with them all day.
